About the Owner

Hello! My name is Amanda and I have two young boys who keep my very busy. In my downtime I love to crochet. I have been crocheting for over 20 years, ever since my grandma taught me when I was 8 years old. It has always been a hobby of mine and I find it enjoyable and relaxing. I'm a homebody so it seriously is my favorite thing to do to be at home with my family and work on a crochet project.

History of Crochet To Z

At first I started an Etsy shop as a way to sell some of the finished crochet items I'd made that I didn't know what to do with. I thought it would be fun to have my own little store. I slowly added different types of things to my store and after some time I realized that people were coming to my store for the baby hats and those were what I enjoyed making the most, so I ended up with a baby hat store! I love that I get to make special keepsakes for people all over the world!

I started to get a lot of people asking how to make the things I make and I was told I was a good at teaching, so I wrote a few patterns for my Etsy shop, started this blog, and a started a Youtube channel. I found I enjoy teaching crochet as much as I love crocheting!

The name Crochet to Z is a combination of "Crochet" and "A to Z." The A to Z parts has several meanings to me: my kids' names begin with A and Z, I live in AZ, and I offer all things crochet, from patterns and tutorials to finished goods to crochet tips and tricks. and product recommendations.
