Textured Fingerless Gloves - Free Crochet Pattern

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Worsted Weight Yarn

Crochet Hook size 5mm

Scissors and Needle for finishing

ABBREVIATIONS:

CH= Chain

DC= Double Crochet

FPDC= Front Post Double Crochet (shown in video below)

HDC= Half Double Crochet

RND= Round

SL ST= Slip Stitch

NOTES: Stitch count for every round will be the same as the number of stitches in RND 1.

WRITTEN PATTERN:

LEFT HAND-

Begin with CH 24. Join with SL ST in first CH. (Should fit comfortably snug around base of fingers. Adjust length if necessary).

RND 1: CH 2. DC in same stitch and each stitch around, in back loop only. Join with SL ST in top of 1st DC.

RND 2: CH 2. DC in same stitch. FPDC in next stitch. Repeat [DC, FPDC] around. Join with SL ST in top of 1st DC.

RND 3: CH 2. FPDC in DC. DC in FPDC. Repeat [FPDC. DC] all the way around. Join with SL ST in top of 1 FPDC.

RND 4: Repeat RND 2.

RND 5: Repeat RND 3.

RND 6: Repeat [DC, FPDC] pattern, stopping when there are 5 stitches left. CH 5. Skip last 5 stitched. Join with SL ST in top of 1st DC

RND 7: Repeat [FPDC, DC] pattern, stopping when there are 6 stitches left. DC in is stitch before CH. DC across CH in top 2 loops. Join with SL ST in top of 1st FPDC.

RND 8: Repeat RND 2.

RND 9: Repeat RND 3.

RND 10: Repeat RND 2.

RND 11: Repeat RND 3.

RND 12: Repeat RND 2.

RND 13: Repeat RND 3.

RND 14: Repeat RND 2.

RND 15: CH 1. HDC in same stitch and each stitch around. Join with SL ST in top of 1st HDC.

Finish off, weave in ends.

You could make both hands the same, but I like to make the right hand just a little different so the seam is under my thumb on both hands.

RIGHT HAND-

RNDS 1-5: Same as left hand.
